ATLANTIC CITY — Firefighters responded to a fire in the 2300 block of Atlantic Avenue early Monday as snow began to fall across the region.
The fire started in a commercial building but spread to a residential building on Ruffu Terrace, where eight people were displaced and are being assisted by the Red Cross, fire Chief Scott Evans said.
Thirty-five firefighters responded to the two-alarm fire, Evans said, but had limited access because the exterior of the fire was directly under live electrical lines that had burned and were sparking.
