Two people were killed early Wednesday in a two-vehicle head-on crash in Marana that involved five people, authorities say.
The crash happened about 1:20 a.m. on the frontage road just west of Interstate 10 between West Tangerine and West Avra Valley roads, Marana police said.
Nora Saldana, 48, and a 17-year-old girl died at the crash scene, police said in a news release. The girl was not identified.
Saldana and the teen were passengers in a 2021 Honda Civic that was traveling south in the wrong lane of traffic when it collided with a northbound 2003 Jeep Liberty, police said.
The investigation continues.
