A 60-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a crash Tuesday afternoon in midtown, Tucson police say.
Marc Ian La Brack was riding west on East Broadway about 4:45 p.m. when he collided with an eastbound 2023 Subaru Forester as it turned left onto North Venice Stravenue, just west of North Swan Road, Tucson police said in a news release.
La Brack died at the hospital.
The unidentified 61-year-old driver of the Subaru stayed at the scene and cooperated with police, the release said. She was not cited and the investigation continues.
Investigators noted that La Brack was traveling above the posted 35 mph speed limit at the time of the crash. La Brack had the proper motorcycle endorsement on his driver's license, but was not wearing a helmet, the release said.
