All Souls Procession
Kathleen Dreier covers the inside an urn ahead of Sunday’s All Souls Procession. Beginning in 1990, the procession currently covers about two miles on Tucson’s west side, ending in the ceremonial burning of “The Urn.” The procession starts at 6 p.m. on North Grande Avenue and ends in the Mercado District.
Caroline Coppinger, a volunteer on Friday paints white circles along the All Souls Procession stage at the MSA Annex, 267 South Avenida del Convento. This year’s the finale includes performances from Nexus Visions, Snow Raven, Odaiko Sonora, Flam Chen, Circus Sanctuary and Community Spirit Groups.
Despite the rain, hundreds of people participated in the 35th Annual All Souls Procession on Nov. 3, 2024.
