There will be three days of road closures this weekend to make way for the 32nd annual Tucson Bicycle Classic stage race. Here are the details:
- On Friday, the McCain Loop Road near the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum will be closed from noon until 6 p.m., with heavy bike traffic expected on Kinney Road from Old Tucson to the start of the loop.
- On Saturday, the northbound lane of South Mission Road between West Duval Mine and West Helmet Peak roads will be closed from 6:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. There will be numerous cyclists on those roads, as well on South La Cañada Drive.
- On Sunday, North Greasewood Road between West Anklam Road and West Speedway will be closed 6 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
More than 500 racers from around the country, Mexico and Canada are expected to participate.
