An art collector is offering a reward of up to $15,000 for information that leads to the recovery of a rare brooch made by surrealist artist Salvador Dali.
The brooch, a handcrafted design depicting the mythological creature Medusa, is worth $250,000, said Deputy Dawn Hanke, a Pima County Sheriff's Department spokeswoman.
The 18-karat-gold brooch, laced with diamonds, was stolen in a burglary from a far-Northeast Side home May 4, Hanke said.
No suspects have been identified, and no arrests have been made.
Anyone with information regarding the case is urged to contact a Pima County sheriff's detective, Russ Kingery, at 351-4600, or call 88-CRIME, the anonymous tip line of the Pima County Attorney's Office.
