Army Cpl. Arthur Contreras Ramirez enlisted in the army in 1949 when he was 18 years old. At 19, he went missing in action. Ramirez was identified in 2019 after North Korea returned the remains of soldiers to the U.S. in 2018. He was laid to rest today following a mass at  St. Augustine Cathedral in Tucson.
