Thank you, President Trump, for promoting renewable energy. Forcing the entire industrialized world to turn to solar, wind, and geothermal by decimating the Middle East’s capacity to produce fossil energy, brilliant! Once China and India fully adopt, it will be easy for the U.S. to import the technology. And if Americans love anything, it’s ease.
Thanks too for giving Arizona up for copper mining. We’re gonna need that for all the upcoming renewables and the water’s gone so … Hudbay’s choice of showcasing the soon-to-be-defunct Hoover Dam and Central Arizona Project is kind of a peculiar choice for promoting their soon-to-be exported products. These unsustainable and foolhardy structures are what you want to compare yourself to?

"I am in complete agreement with Loyal Johnson that the Democratic Party is the 'but' party. While supposedly 'progressive,' they are consistently against anything that's reasonable and traditional."
Huh?
There is nothing traditional about a man who goes to war without authority from Congress. There is nothing traditional in writing executive orders to bypass Congress. There is nothing traditional about destroying the White House. There is nothing traditional with hiring only unqualified "yes" men. Same with environmental policy, immigration policy, mining and oil exploration policy, selling access to the office, and selling merchandise, or with secret involvement of his family with foreign entities. Donald Trump has ignored or broken numerous presidential traditions, norms, and constitutional guardrails. Key areas include attacking the independence of the Federal Reserve, merging personal business interests with public office, defying court orders, and challenging the traditional separation of powers.

War never makes anything better. It always makes everything worse, until one or both sides are exhausted by the process. We call this state of mutual depletion, peace.
The Iranian expats are cheering the war. They are kissing photos of Donald Trump and celebrating the death of each Iranian official. Of course they are not underneath the rain of rockets and bombs.
If we were truly trying to free the Iranians from their oppressive regime, this is not how to do it. Killing thousands of Iranians and destroying their cities will not endear us to them. It will only make everything worse.
Perhaps Trump might inadvertently advance democracy in the Middle East, whether he is trying to or not. Of the many uncertainties involved in the “fog of war,” this hope may prove the most elusive.
Trump has long coveted the Nobel peace Prize. If anything good comes out of this, he may deserve the Peace Prize (and the Magician of the Year award as well).

Israel began its military occupation of Palestine In 1967. They control what goes in and what comes out of West Bank and Gaza.
Hamas brutally attacked Israel to bring awareness to military control, blockade of Gaza Strip, as well as illegal settlements in the West Bank.
Israel’s retaliation has killed over 500 aid workers, and 1,500 health care workers. Every hospital in Gaza has been put out of commission by Israel. The blockades and restrictions placed on aid deliveries to Gaza have put them in a humanitarian crisis with death by starvation imminent. Israel’s and the USA’s bombs dropped on Gaza have destroyed everything. How many Palestinians are buried in that rubble?
On August 21, 2025 The Guardian published an article that revealed through Israel’s own military data indicating 83% of deaths in the Gaza War were civilians. Harvey, I wouldn’t call 17% a majority. I’m with Abraham.
