Students from throughout Tucson and Southern Arizona competed at the SkillsUSA Region 6 Construction Championships at Catalina High Magnet School on Feb. 15, 2019. Construction professionals judge the skills of about 150 students from local high school students who are preparing to enter the industry in six categories; Construction Technology, Advanced Carpentry, Electrical, Plumbing, Masonry, and TeamWorks, which involves a four-person team building a project from a blueprint.
