Dozens of Catalina Foothills High School students listened as one of their classmate’s parents spoke at the Catalina Foothills School District’s Governing Board meeting on April 11. An audience supporting transgender students' rights turned out that night in response to the board meeting one week before, at which public speakers on the other side of the political issue dominated the discourse.Â
