Arizona Makers Fighting COVID-19 is a state-wide group using 3-D and laser printing to make face shields and building aerosol boxes to protect healthcare workers from patients during intubation.

Paulus Musters, materials lab manager at the College of Architecture, Planning and Landscape Architecture, makes a small cut into plastic as he males an aerosol box prototype on April 1, 2020. Musters is part of the Arizona Makers Fighting COVID-19 group and was given instructions on how to make the box. An aerosol box is used to place over a patient and allow a healthcare worker to intubate safely while being protected.
