Monsoon activity is expected to slow down in the Tucson area by Thursday, with clear skies predicted by the evening.
The hottest day forecast over the next few days in Tucson is 110 degrees on Monday.
Moisture is expected to return to the Tucson metro area after says of record-breaking heat, according the the weekend forecast.
Monday and Tuesday were both expected to be ripe for widespread storm activity, though the chance of severe storms was labeled as "marginal" by the weather service.
The weekend brings the best chances of thunderstorms — from 30 percent to 50 percent in the Tucson area, forecasters say.
Tucson's monsoon is expected to ease up this weekend, so if you've been waiting to wash your car, this may be your chance.
