Former Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords joined others at the January 8th Memorial, known as "The Embrace," near the Pima County Historic Courthouse on the 13th anniversary of the shooting on Wednesday. Six people died and 13 were injured when a gunman opened fire outside the Safeway store at Ina and Oracle roads on Jan. 8, 2011. Giffords was holding a "Congress On Your Corner" event on Tucson's northwest side when the attack occurred.
