Traffic stop yields 90 lbs. of meth, gun on Tucson's south side

The piece, "Angelica," by sculptor John Benedict, disappeared May 30 from outside the resort, 5501 N. Hacienda del Sol Road.

A 59-year-old man became Tucson's 19th motorcycle fatality.

The accident occurred Aug 10 around 6:30 a.m. on Avra Valley Road west of Sanders Road.

Richard Ulibarri, 49, was shot and killed in the 4444 E. Benson Highway.

Male bicyclist struck and killed on Saturday night. His name has not been released.

A man was fatally shot Saturday on Tucson's east side, officials said. 

A preliminary investigation showed Michael Iuro "failed to negotiate a turn and collided with a guardrail," the Pima County Sheriff's Department said.

The driver was cited for failure to reduce and control speed to avoid an accident, and with use of a handheld device while driving during a collision.

Police said two vehicles collided at intersection while one was attempting a left turn.
