Authorities searching for inmate who escaped from Tucson prison

Kevin A. Purdon escaped from a minimum security custody in Tucson on Sunday, Nov. 24.

Authorities are asking for the public's help after a Tucson inmate escaped from a minimum-custody facility Sunday night.

Kevin A. Purdon, who is serving a four-year sentence for solicitation of a dangerous drug, was last seen at the Catalina Unit around 7:40 p.m., according to the Arizona Department of Corrections.

Corrections officers, tracking dog teams and local authorities are assisting in the search.

Anyone with information about Purdon's whereabouts are asked to call 911.
