A man implicated in a retail theft-ring operation that stretched from Tucson to Phoenix has been sentenced to more than three years in prison, state prosecutors say.
Nicholas Miller was linked the sale of about $2 million in stolen merchandise. A fence on the East Coast received packages from Miller, and paid him about $450,000 during the period of the multi-agency investigation, the Arizona Attorney General's Office said in a news release. Miller pleaded guilty Feb. 6, to two counts of fraud and one count of illegally conducting an enterprise. On Feb. 20, Miller was sentenced to 3.25 years in prison. He also was sentenced to five years probation, ordered to pay $75,000 in restitution and forfeited all items seized as part of a forfeiture proceeding, the release said.
Prosecution of co-defendants is pending, the release said.
