A 15-year-old boy has been charged with multiple felonies after an investigation into explosive devices discovered in the Rancho Sahuarito subdivision last month, Sahuarita Police said.
Additional arrests are anticipated, police said in a news release.
After a search warrant was executed on the 15-year-old suspect’s home, he was charged with three counts of felony weapons misconduct, three counts of misconduct with simulated explosives, and one count of felony destruction of a protected plant, Sahuarita Police said.
The devices were found on June 13 and June 20 at multiple locations, and appeared to be explosive or simulated explosive homemade devices. The Pima Regional Bomb Squad responded to each incident.Â
