● Residents of an Oro Valley apartment complex had to be evacuated Tuesday night when a two-alarm fire broke out, an official said.
The blaze began shortly before 10:30 p.m. at the Sundown Village Apartments, 8215 N. Oracle Road, near West Magee Road, said Battalion Chief Rick Flores, a Rural/Metro Fire Department spokesman.
One unit was fully engulfed in flames, and the fire was spreading to a second apartment when residents in adjoining units had to be evacuated, he said.
Firefighters were still actively fighting the blaze as of press time late Tuesday.
No other details were available.
