A traffic stop on two vehicles on Interstate 10 led to the seizure of 230 pounds of marijuana and the arrests of three men Wednesday.
Just before 10 a.m., an Arizona Department of Public Safety officer stopped a Ford Explorer and a Chevrolet pickup for traffic and equipment violations near the Vail/Wentworth exit.
As the officer approached the Explorer, he saw bundles of marijuana in the back of the vehicle and in the front passenger seat, according to a news release.
After speaking with those in both vehicles, the officer determine they were all traveling together.
Fausto Guzman, 21, of Douglas was arrested and booked into the Pima County jail on possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana for sale and transportation of marijuana for sale.
Jorge Abril, 18, of Elfrida and Jose Valencia, 18, of Douglas were also booked into the Pima County jail on conspiracy to transport marijuana for sale.
