Pima County Sheriff’s deputies have made an arrest in the shooting of a 74-year-old man who answered a Craigslist ad for an iPad last month, authorities said.
Jerry Ramon Jackson, 23, was arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault in the Aug. 31 shooting. Jackson and the man met at an apartment complex with the 2300 block of West Ina Road after the older man answered an ad to buy the compute tablet, according to a Pima County Sheriff’s Department news release. The gunman jumped into the victim’s car, shot the driver in the shoulder and ran away, investigators say.
Sheriff’s deputies arrested Jackson Wednesday at an apartment in the 2800 block of West Broadway.
