Tucson police are investigating an attempted abduction this evening on the east side.
The incident was reported in the 7700 block of East Broadway, near South Pantano Road, said Sgt. Diana Lopez, a Tucson Police Department spokeswoman.
The incident was initially reported as a suspicious activity call after a white van was reportedly seen following a group of girls, Lopez said.
Police officers began investigating after receiving another call about the white van, she said.
