A Tucson man was arrested in suspicion of killing a woman whose body was found in a trash bin early this week.
Roy Tennyson, 41, was detained by police shortly after the body of Deanna Barnum, 49, was found in the bin in the 3400 block of East Monte Vista Drive, near North Country Club Road and East Glenn Street early Tuesday, Sgt. Chris Widmer, a Tucson Police Department spokesman, said in a news release.
A neighbor said he saw a man put a woman's body in the bin about 2 a.m. The resident chased the man and called police after being unable to catch him.
Tennyson matched a description given by the witness and officers detained him that morning.
He was booked into the Pima County jail Thursday on suspicion of murder and improper disposal of a body, Widmer said.
