More than 600 people gathered Saturday to celebrate and explore Mexican heritage at Saguaro National Park East during the fourth annual Fiesta de Saguaro.
The event included lots of activities for adults and children, including a piñata-hitting contest, tissue-paper flower making, roping and corn mashing.
Landscape historian Robin Pinto was a guest speaker.
Mariachi dancers and musicians entertained while many guests got a taste of the homemade Mexican food that was for sale.
"This is our fourth time, and each year it keeps getting bigger," said park ranger Melanie Florez
Admission to the event was free, but pastries, tortillas, jewelry and arts and crafts were available for purchase.
