Folks sharpen knowledge of flintknapping
Joe Billings uses a copper bobber, which is a percussion tool, to strike a piece of English flint during a flintknapping workshop at Colossal Cave Mountain Park. The workshop was held Sunday.

Flintknapper Jerry Marcantel, right, leads the workshop. Marcantel first gave a demonstration, then led a hands-on workshop teaching attendees how ancestors turned certain stones into scraping tools and weapons. He demonstrated pressure and percussion techniques on pieces of obsidian and flint stones.
