“Save the last dance for me ...” Bob and Barb Merow spent late afternoon Sunday dancing to the sounds of singing, drumming DJ Bob Kay.
“Slow dancing, swaying to the music.” Carole and Phil Guyot dance to Bob Kay’s entertainment. (Not all of the music he brings has a pulse-racing beat.)
“They got the beat. They got the beat. Yeah. They got the beat.” Bob Kay, the singing, drumming DJ, performed Sunday for a lively group of dancers. You can catch Kay — and maybe kick up your heels — at Christ Church United Methodist, 655 N. Craycroft Road, at 5 p.m. Sundays. It’s $3 per person.
“Dance, dance, dance, when you hear that beat. Whoo! Dance, dance, dance, get up off of your seat. Whoo!” Gizella Bonico, center, dances Sunday with Judy Malone as Bob Kay, the singing, drumming DJ, performs. Kay drums, sings and plays along to oldies-but-goodies tunes.
