Homeowners and neighborhoods, schools, nonprofits and other groups can get trees through Tucson Clean & Beautiful's Trees for Tucson program.
The Home Shade Tree program provides low-cost desert-adaptable trees to homeowners.
To qualify for the program, residents must agree to plant the trees within 15 feet of their houses on the west, south or east sides.
Trees are $8 each, which includes delivery, planting instructions and tree-care advice.
The Community Tree Program is available for neighborhoods, schools, nonprofit organizations and other groups to shade buildings, common spaces, neighborhood streets, parks, washes and other public areas.
For such groups, the trees are low-cost or free, depending on the use.
