The Raptor Free Flight demonstration at the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum is a seasonal show that runs twice daily at the museum, 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., with each demonstration featuring different birds. Demonstrations began mid-October and run through April 20, 2014. As the birds zip by just feet from spectators' heads, volunteers give an amplified narration of the demonstration and explain facets of each species. The museum is open from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. through February. Gates open an hour earlier in March. The demonstration is free with the price of admission.
