Every fourth Sunday of the month, St. Philip's in the Hills Episcopal Church opens its doors to the public for Phixer's Phorums, hosted by the church's volunteer fix-it folks, the Philip's Phixers.
About a half-dozen consistent contributors to the group perform maintenance such as painting and installing doorstops.
"We do whatever they need," said Don Innis of the group.
They also host Phixers Phorums, free monthly workshops on general home-maintenance topics held at 12:30 p.m. the fourth Sunday of each month at St. Philip's, 4440 N. Campbell Ave.
The next workshop, on Aug. 22 in the church's west gallery, will focus on techniques for painting walls and trim.
