Brookdale Senior Living communities across Tucson are teaming up with Sol Casinos to celebrate Native American month in November.
Native American musicians, dancers, speakers, jewelers, food vendors and other skilled Native American craftsmen have been invited to display and sell their artwork during the first four Sundays in November.
Some of the invited entertainers include flutist Mary Redhouse, musician Larry Redhouse, The Redhouse Dancers, flutist Marvin Todacheenie and a daughter of a "Code Talker," Laura Tohe.
Events will be from 2 to 4 p.m. on the following dates at these locations:
• Sunday at Santa Catalina Villas Retirement Community, 7500 N. Calle Sin Envidia, located in Rancho Sin Vacas north of La Encantada Mall in the Foothills.
• Nov. 8 at Sterling House, 8468 E. Speedway, just east of Pantano.
