St. Philip's in the Hills Episcopal Church is offering a new service, Choral Evensong, the third Sunday of the month beginning this Sunday.
The services will be held at 4 p.m. in the church, 4440 N. Campbell Ave.
Choral Evensong is rooted in monastic services that date from the medieval period. St. Philip's Evensong is based on the service that has been sung from the Book of Common prayer from the 16th century.
Evensong is drawn almost entirely from the Bible - the psalms, readings and canticles are all selected from scriptural sources.
The public is invited. Parking is available in the north parking lot or under the new solar covered parking structure on the east side of the church. The office phone is 299-6421.
