Dirty dogs get a good scrub

Volunteers got down to dog level during Arizona Greyhound Rescue's dog wash and spa event last Saturday. Members of the University of Arizona's Cause for Paws and the Boys and Girls Clubs helped wet down, scrub and groom dogs of all breeds. A dog wash cost $10, and animals could get a 10-minute massage for another $10. The fundraiser was at the Pantano Animal Clinic, 8333 E. 22nd St. Proceeds were to cover the cost of veterinary services for animals rescued by the greyhound group.
