Literacy Volunteers of Tucson, a nonprofit group that teaches non-English speakers how to read, write and speak English, is conducting several upcoming volunteer orientation sessions. Literacy Volunteers also has a literacy program for English speakers.
The sessions are held at the Literacy Volunteers office, 1948 E. Allen Road, but the English tutoring happens at 17 sites all over Tucson.
Volunteer orientation sessions are scheduled as follows: 10:30 a.m. to noon Saturday; 10:30 a.m. to noon June 21; 6 to 7:30 p.m. July 1; and 10:30 a.m. to noon July 12.
