A whimsical puppeteer will entertain children and adults at a Foothills library this Saturday afternoon, according to librarian Helene Woodhams.
Gwen Ray and the Hanuman Puppet Theatre will put on a show at 2 p.m. at the Dusenberry-River Center Library.
"She's a wonderful storyteller, and her puppets are so imaginative," Woodhams said. "You don't get bored in her puppet shows."
Ray uses a variety of puppets when she performs — from marionettes to shadow puppets — to hold her audience's attention, Woodhams said.
"Kids and adults will come to the show and they'll laugh — they won't necessarily laugh in the same place," she said.
Woodhams said she's seen Ray and her troupe of puppets perform several times, and each time has been a treat for the audience.
