Unseasonably warm weather caused a few vendors at a local antique fair to pack it in early Sunday, but most of them stayed the entire time.
Among those who remained at the Brandi Fenton Antique and Country Fair was Art Nelson, who specializes in vintage paper: stock certificates, Civil War documents, antique postcards and photos of bygone fashions.
"People buy it for all kinds of reasons - handwriting samples, military collections, stamp collections and historical research," he said. "In hard economic times, I try to turn it over and make a couple bucks stick to me."
Vendors display their wares the third Sunday of each month at Brandi Fenton Memorial Park, 3482 E. River Road.
The event is free to the public and features jewelry, some crafts and lots of antiques.
You might even find that old railroad stock certificate your father never got a chance to buy.
