Republican Martha McSally and Democrat Ron Barber are now separated by 179 votes in the closely-contested Congressional District 2 race.
New results out of the Pima County Elections Department Monday night adjusted the gap between the two political rivals with the counting of about 4,914 provisional ballots.
On Sunday night, the retired Air Force colonel had a 341-vote lead over the Democratic incumbent.
It is expected the Pima County Elections Department will continue counting Tuesday, despite it being Veterans Day.Â
