'Star Wars' warriors descend on library
A "Star Wars" light saber for one person is a telescope for another, as 4-year-old Raiden Vasquez demonstrates. Raiden peered through his paper-towel-roll and construction-paper creation on Saturday during Star Wars Reads Day. The event was at the Flowing Wells branch of the Pima County Public Library, at 1730 W. Wetmore Road.
You probably won't see this in any "Star Wars" movies: A clone trooper (Philip Gray) taking a sip of punch. Star Wars Reads Day included various thematic items, including Palpatine Punch and Princess Leia Cinnamon Buns. The library has lots of regular and special events - go to www.library.pima.gov for more info.
