Moments before, Garcia had just handed Eash the torch. Members of the Marana Police Department, US Border Patrol, and DEA carried the torch from the Tangerine Road exit on Interstate 10 then north to the Pinal County line. They carried the torch by Ora Mae Harn Park (cq ORA MAE HARN PARK) where they were met by 24 (cq 24) Special Olympics participants, some of whom ran with the officers, along the route. Students from Tortolita Middle School (cqTORTOLITA MIDDLE SCHOOL) plus Marana (cq MARANA) and Mountain View (cq MOUNTAIN VIEW) high schools too part in the event.
