Anne Kessell, far left, Dotty Patremio and Jackie Jacobson were part of a Zuzi dance class last week at the Ellie Towne Flowing Wells Community Center, 1660 W Ruthrauff Road. The class was part of Dance Month May at the Flowing Wells Branch Library, across the street at 1730 W. Wetmore Road. Because of space concerns, some of the dance instruction took place at Ellie Towne. The Zuzi dance class, taught by instructor Sara Stewart, combined yoga and Bartenieff Fundamentals, which are movement techniques that focus on achieving comfort and ease in the body including smooth flow and coordination.

Brian Chanecka, who coordinated the class, does some floor work of his own during the Zuzi dance class. Zuzi is a nonprofit group that supports the idea that everyone can dance regardless of age or ability. The next and last dance of the month, which is free, is on May 30 at Ellie Towne at 2 p.m.
