Nearly 90 animals were adopted out during the Be Their Hero adoption event Friday-Sunday at the Pima Animal Care Center.
The event, held by the PACC Pets volunteer group, aimed to adopt out "special needs" pets, which can include older animals and those with ailments or minor behavioral problems.
"A total of 88 animals left via adoption, special-needs adoption and rescue groups over the three days," volunteer Cindy Hefley wrote in an email.
There are plenty more animals up for adoption at the Pima Animal Care Center, 4000 N. Silverbell Road. Go to http://pimaanimalcare.org or call 243-5900 for more information.
