The Wheeler Taft Abbett Sr. Library, Pima County's newest library branch, will have its grand opening from 9:30 a.m. to noon Saturday.
The library is named after Abbett, a former member of Marana's Planning and Zoning Commission who donated $1 million to the county's library-book fund.
The new facility is at 7800 N. Schisler Drive, just southeast of the intersection of North Cortaro and North Silverbell roads.
The grand opening is free and open to the public, and will include food, library tours and other activities.
