1 of 4
Dance teacher Mari Kaneta, middle, receives some final touch-ups before a dance concert hosted by her group, Suzuyuki-Kai. The dance troupe presented "Dance Eternity - Kabuki Dance" at Green Fields Country Day School on Sunday. The dancers wear traditional kimonos, hairstyles and kabuki makeup. The group's mission is to promote and preserve Japanese culture through traditional kabuki-style dance performances and workshops. Donations to the Red Cross were accepted at the show for victims of the recent earthquake and tsunami in Japan.
Lipstick is applied to dancer Violet Lageschulte, 4, before the performance. Go online to suzuyukikai.com/Home for more information about the group.
