POTTER, Ferne Rae Anne

POTTER, Ferne Rae Anne

POTTER, Ferne Rae Anne

mom to so many of us kids, passed away in her home on February 13, 2018, at the age of 77. She lives on in so many of the hearts and memories of her family, neighbors, work peers, and her many, many friends. Ferne left behind her only son, Travis, his wife, her daughter in-law, and in-love, Tamera Potter; and her three grandchildren with whom she spent time throughout her life. Zachary Potter, whom helped her overcome the many technological challenges. Ryan Potter whom would help her run errands and move around all of her holiday decorations each season. She helped raise those to Potter boys, over the many weekends spent together, from birth THROUGH every high school performance and game, all the way to college. Then there was that final special relationship with her ONLY granddaughter, with whom she shared a love of music and performing. Even when Ferne was too weak to walk out of the hours of plays and singing performances and had to be carried to her car in the parking lot, she would always ask when the next time would be she could see them perform. Every time I see one of my many surrogate siblings' pics or posts, I'm reminded of some fantastic story of which Ferne was an integral part. I'll try to arrange something for those of us still able to come around to Tucson in the next few weeks. For now, we can all raise a glass of our favorite beverage, to "mom", and remember, "be a little happier, and a little more patient. Here's to those that wish us well, all the rest can go to hell."

We love you mom, All your kids, family, and oh so many friends.
