age 82, passed away peacefully on the evening of Saturday, August 24, 2019, at home with his family by his side. He was born in Los Angeles, CA to Sotero and Catalina (Ruiz) Arambulo. Armando is survived by his sister, Lydia Zamarripa, Long Beach, CA and his brother, Hector (Connie) from Pueblo, CO; sister-in-law, Mary Louise Facio, Los Angeles, CA and by his loving wife, Dora; two sons, Robert (Helen) and Michael (Paula); granddaughters, Mikayla, Sunny Rae and Amy; two step-grandsons; three great-grandchildren; three nieces, two nephews (one deceased) and adopted Ornelas family. Armando enlisted in the Air Force after high school and was stationed in France as a top secret Crypto Operator. Armando married his high school sweetheart, Dora and were married for 61 years. After the Air Force they settled in East Whittier, CA. He enjoyed being an Allstate Insurance Agent for 33 years where he won many awards and made many life-long friends. Their retirement destination was Tucson, AZ where they enjoyed their new home for 22 years and continued traveling. He loved music from Mariachi to Opera, UCLA sports and especially horse racing. He owned horses which raced in the US and Mexico. He enjoyed being a father to his two sons and supported them in their interests. A Celebration of his Life will be held on Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle Chapel, 5150 N. Valley View Road, Tucson. Interment will be at AZ Veterans' Memorial Cemetery at Marana, AZ on Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. The family requests that In lieu of flowers, donations be sent in Armando's name to Parkinson Wellness Recovery, 134 W. 88, went to meet the Lord on July 26, 2019. She was born on November 10, 1930, in Berwyn, IL. She is survived by her husband, Frank; sons, Frank Jr. (Phyllis), Charles and John; daughters, Kathi Upham and Karen Cosand; nine grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She will be remembered for her servant's heart, volunteering at the VA Hospital Chapel as organist every Sunday for 24 years. Betty served the Order of Eastern Star as Worthy Grand Matron in 1989, and was an active member of Desert Star Chapter. Because she knew the importance of literacy, she spent many years tutoring foreign students for the Tucson Adult Literacy Program. Services will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2019, at Catalina United Methodist, 2700 E. both 85, died Wednesday, August 21, 2019. Dick was born in Madison, WI, to Earl and Winifred Brown. He earned his bachelor's and medical degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, served in the Air Force, and practiced medicine primarily in New Mexico and Wisconsin.Marge was born in Delhi, NY, to Robert and Mary Haviland. She earned her bachelor's degree in nursing from Syracuse University, and practiced nursing primarily in New Mexico and Wisconsin.Dick and Marge married 44 years ago, and raised nine children in their extended family. They moved in retirement to Tucson, AZ. Both were active in their Unitarian Universalist Church communities in Racine, WI; Albuquerque, NM; and Tucson, AZ, and especially loved singing in their church choirs. Both loved animals, especially dogs and horses, nature, hiking and canoeing, reading, and spending time with family and friends.Dick and Marge are survived by a large and loving family, including their seven children, Lynne (Harry), Patrick (Karen), Matthew (Shannon), Daniel (June), Jonathan (Lisa), Nathanael (Anne), and Mahli (Adrian); 14 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; Dick's two sisters; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. They were preceded in death by two of their children, Laurel (Jon), and RJ, and by Marge's brother.Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2019, in Racine, WI, and on Saturday, October 5, 2019, at 3:00 p.m. at Sun City Oro Valley in Tucson, AZ. Professor Emeritus of Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering at the University of Arizona, died peacefully in his sleep on August 17, 2019, in Tucson, at the age of 86. Dr. Chen was born in Tianjin, China, and came to America in 1950 to study mechanical engineering at the University of Illinois. He graduated in 1953 as class salutatorian with University Honors and was inducted into the scholastic honorary societies Pi Tau Sigma, Sigma Xi, and Tau Beta Pi. After completing his M.S. degree at the University of Illinois in 1954, he continued his graduate studies in aeronautical engineering at Brown University and earned his Ph.D. in 1960.

Tony worked at Hydronautics, Inc. in Laurel, Maryland before embarking on a 50-year academic career. He spent 17 years at Rutgers University, where he was Chairman of the Department of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering from 1976-80. In the summers of 1968 and 1969, he was a Fellow at NASA Ames Research Center in Mountain View, California.

In 1980, Tony and his family moved to Tucson, Arizona, where he was Head of the Department of Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering at the University of Arizona from 1980-89, and where he became Professor Emeritus in 2002. Tony was an internationally recognized scientist in fluid dynamics; he published over a hundred scientific articles and papers, gave numerous seminars and lectures at universities and institutions across North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia, and chaired multiple national and international conferences. He was a Fellow of the American Physical Society, American Society of Mechanical Engineers, American Association for the Advancement of Science, and the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics; a member of American Society of Engineering Education; and a Visiting Fellow and Life Member of Clare Hall, University of Cambridge. He was awarded the MechSE Distinguished Alumni Award by the University of Illinois in 1982.

During his career, Tony participated in the NSF-funded Geological Expedition to Skaergaard Intrusion, Greenland; was a senior visiting fellow at the Department of Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics, University of Cambridge, England; a visiting fellow at the Research School of Earth Sciences, Australian National University, Canberra, Australia; a visiting scientist at the Institut für Angewandete Thermo- und Fluiddynamik, Karlsruhe, Germany; and Director, Fluid Dynamics and Hydraulics Program at the National Science Foundation, Washington, D.C.

Tony met his wife, Frances Yakiang Liu, then a fellow student at the University of Illinois, in 1954. They were married in 1957. He treasured time spent with his family, enjoying holidays and special occasions, and traveling the US and abroad. During their 62-year marriage, Tony and Frances visited many countries, enjoying the art, culture, and history everywhere they went. Tony relaxed by building model ships and planes with his sons when they were young; in later years, he loved hiking and swimming. Listening to classical music was a favorite pastime, and he could find the humor in any situation. Tony is survived by his wife, Frances; three sons, Peter (Ann Wagenhals), Paul (Yihua Shi) and Philip (Grace Cinciripini); seven grandchildren, Andrew, Grace, Eleanor, Matthew, Olivia, Weston and Stella; and two sisters, Jane and Joan; all of whom miss him dearly. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Chuan­ Zheng and sister, Lan Ying. A private family memorial will be held to celebrate Tony's life. passed away Wednesday evening, August 28, 2019. His children and family were with him as they said goodbye to the most loving husband and father. He was a steadfast rock to many, and especially to his wife, Kara and children, Abram, Elisabeth (Andy), Micah (Kelley), Ben (Nikki) and Matthew. Also his mother, Anne; brothers, Richard, Danny and sister, Judy. He also leaves behind nine grandchildren who adored him and will miss their Papa greatly.In the days before his death and after, the outpouring of love and tributes to him have been overwhelming. He was respected in every walk of life. In his work, coaching, and leadership in church. Words used to describe him are faithful, patient, kind, Godly, steadfast and friend. Although he worked in the construction/contracting business for over 48 years, the job he loved most was being a husband and father. He spent most of his time with them. He taught them everything he loved. How to hunt, fish, golf, play sports and to know the Lord Jesus. He also loved coaching soccer and did that for 38 years in various clubs, the latest being FC Tucson. He was the boys varsity coach at Pusch Ridge Christian Academy for 19 years. He mentored not only his family, but the boys from many years of coaching. He was a friend to many and will be missed by everyone who knew him. Services will be held Sunday, September 8, 2019 at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, 7575 N. Paseo Del Norte - The Sanctuary on the SW corner, with a reception following next door at North West Bible Church. Passed away peacefully in Tucson, Arizona, August 28, 2019, just prior to his 91st birthday. Dr. Dunn was born in Lackawanna, New York in August, 1928 to Hansil B. Dunn and Elnor (Hargrave) Dunn. He was an outstanding student attending Lackawanna Public Schools, skipping two grade levels. After graduating high school as Valedictorian, at age 16, he attended college and medical school at the State University of New York at Buffalo. As an undergraduate, he was one of the founding members of the University of Buffalo Chapter of Omega Psi Phi African American fraternity. He graduated medical school at age 21 in 1950. Dr. Dunn completed his surgical residency at the Buffalo Veterans Administration Hospital and then served in the US Army, retiring as a Lt. Col. in the US Army Reserves. He began private practice in Buffalo in 1956 and continued until 1978. He was professor at the University of Buffalo Medical School and taught Gross Anatomy and basic surgical skills for over 20 years. He served on the admissions committee there for many years. Dr. Dunn also served on staff at Our Lady of Victory Hospital and Buffalo Mercy Hospital for many years. He was a committed member of the Buffalo Chapter of the National Medical Association.

Dr. Dunn practiced in Western New York until 1978 when he relocated to Tucson, AZ. He was accepted as Adjunct Professor of Gross Anatomy in 1978, becoming one of the founding members of the University of Arizona Medical School. He practiced surgery, primary care and taught Gross Anatomy in Tucson until 2015 when he retired. Dr. Dunn also taught anatomy and basic surgical skills at the University of Arizona College of Medicine for over 30 years. Dr. Dunn was active in fair housing and civil rights in Buffalo, in the 1960s and 1970s. In Tucson, Dr. Dunn was an active member of Tucson Medical Society and a loyal member of the American Medical Society until his retirement. He was also a member of the Buffalo Chapter of the Boule and was a founding member of the Tucson Chapter, Alpha Gamma Boule. Dr. Dunn devoted his spare time to the Tucson community holding free Health Fairs and Prostate Health Clinics. He received numerous awards from community organizations for his generous devotion to improving health in Tucson. As a hobby, he thoroughly enjoyed playing his violin and beating his children at tennis.

It needs to be acknowledged that Dr. Dunn converted to Catholicism in college with the support and acceptance of his father who was an A.M.E. Methodist minister. He was a devout Catholic, taking an active leadership role in all the parishes/churches he attended. Dr. Dunn was influential in the canonization of St. Martin DE Porres and was one of the founding members of the Buffalo club.

Dr. Dunn is pre-deceased by: his parents, his brother, Hansiel Dunn and his sisters, Melba Dunn McQuiller and Doris Dunn Saindoux. Dr. Dunn is survived by his devoted and loving wife, Smithie E. Dunn of 36 years; his sister, Irene Dunn Barker; his four children, James C. Dunn, Jr., MD., Gina (William) Gardner NP., Gregory Dunn and Guy Dunn; his two stepsons, Eugene Barrow and Brian Barrow; 13 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, relatives and friends.

Mass and a Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, September 4, 2019, 10:00 a.m., Most Holy Trinity Parish, 1300 N. Greasewood, Tucson, AZ. Interment will be in Buffalo, NY. Donations may be made to the Dunbar Foundation, 325 W. 2nd St., Tucson, AZ, 85705. Arrangements by HUDGEL'S SWAN FUNERAL HOME.

Born June 1, 1964 as Kenneth Lin Harris, Grey died at home in East Point, GA on September 18, 2018. Grey pursued knowledge and learning, winning awards for his technical writing. An '82 grad of Flowing Wells H.S., he attended Pima Community College, the Univ. of Arizona, and the Univ. of New Mexico, earning degrees in English and Professional Communications; Psychology; and Chemistry. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Leticia (Marquez); mother, Jeannie (Tsai); and brother, Steven. Grey is survived by his father, Robert; sister, Michelle "June" (Andrew Galbraith); nephew, Alexander Galbraith; stepchild, Sonja "Shawn" (Rebekah) Marquez; and many loving in-laws. Interment is in the Shiloh Cemetery in Carroll County, TN. A one-year anniversary will be held in Tucson.

died Aug. 5. She was 71.

Marge is survived by her husband, John Bross; her son, Rob Hagen (Erika Remillard) of Roseville, Minn.; her daughter, Amy Purdy (Jim) of Tucson; her stepdaughter, Paige Moran (Greg) of Kansas City, MO.; two brothers, Don (Lindy) and Allan Thompson and her beloved grandchildren, Ella and Oscar Hagen, Logan and Lucas Purdy and Finn Moran.

Marge was preceded in death by her father and mother, Donald and Marion Thompson. Her older brother, Navy veteran Rick Thompson, died two weeks after Marge's passing.

Marge loved being "Grandma" and often visited all of her grandchildren. She would take them on amazing vacations and tried to attend all of their sporting events.

She also loved spending time with her husband, John. Both had retired to the Tucson area in 2010 after 30-plus years as salespeople with Sherwin-Williams paints. Marge handled national home builder accounts and lead a successful charge at Sherwin-Williams to get more women into managerial positions at the company. She had a keen eye for home and landscape design and enjoyed helping customers as well as beautifying her own properties.

Marge was born in North Dakota and raised her family in Rapid City, S.D. During her career with Sherwin-Williams, she lived and worked in such cities as Cleveland, Indianapolis and Minneapolis.

Marge enjoyed traveling throughout the United States to visit friends and family. She and John had also been traveling internationally to Europe, Africa, and South America. The two were tremendously gregarious and had made lifelong friends all over the world.

A Celebration of life is being planned for Friday, October 18, 2019 in Tucson. Details are pending. Arrangements by ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Avalon Chapel.

Glessner was born in Colby, Kansas to Homer and Edith Wade. She was the youngest of 11 children. In 1953, Glessner married Douglas Clayton Roth in Bermuda. Douglas' military life lead the couple to call various places home including France, Colorado, and finally Tucson, Arizona. They had four children, Joyce Lynn, Rita Dawn, Douglas Dean and Darrell Dwayne. Gless loved serving Jesus and enjoyed teaching her faith to others. Known as "Mama Gless", she joyfully ministered to the homeless in Tucson, organizing and running the Soup Kitchen for the Salvation Army as well as running various prison ministry programs throughout the state for over 20 years. A multi Tucson volunteer of the year award winner, her generosity and heart for serving people was admired by many. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Douglas of 56 years and her eldest daughter, Joyce. Those who survive her include her son-in-law, Stephen Harrison of Atwater CA; daughter, Rita Torborg of Tucson, AZ; son, Douglas Dean and Lisa Roth of Lexington, OK and son, Darrell and Sandy Roth of Canyon Lake, CA; her sister, Bonnie and Gene Whetsone of Careywood, Idaho; 17 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. She will be missed by many. Funeral Services celebrating and honoring the life of Glessner R. Roth, 85, will be held at 9:30 a.m. at EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY, Tucson, AZ, on Friday, September 6, 2019. Interment will follow in the East Lawn Palms Cemetery. The family will receive friends beginning at 8:30 a.m., Friday, September 6, 2019 at the funeral home.

On August 7, 2019, Lester peacefully passed into heaven to be forever with his wife of 66 years, Jeanette. Lester was born on November 19, 1931, in Genoa, Ohio, to Marian and Otto Wilka. He served in the Navy during the Korean War and then returned to Ohio where he and Jeanette had a dairy farm. The family moved to Tucson in June 1961. His many places of employment included Silverbell Nursery, Tucson Unified School District, Duval Mines and Avis. In addition, he volunteered many years at the Southern Arizona VA Hospital as well as the Food Pantry at Trinity Presbyterian Church. He is predeceased by his parents, his wife, Jeanette; sisters, Alice Clink (Ralph), Dorothy Lindsey (Alton) and Florence Floro (Allen) and brothers, Richard and Harold (Norma) Wilka. He is survived by daughter, Shirley; son, John; grandchildren, Kassandra (Temple, TX), Emalie (Tucson), Sharon (San Antonio, TX) and Camden (Pecos, TX). Also surviving are brother-in-law, Edgar (Nancy) Buck; sister-in-law, Kathryn Wilka as well as many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 400 E. University Blvd. on Friday, September 6, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests Memorial Donations be made to the Trinity Presbyterian Church Food Pantry or the VFW.
