Photos: The Screening Room in Tucson
The Screening Room rose from a former shoe store to become downtown Tucson's only movie screen while the Fox Theater was dormant before renovation. It was the famous shoe chain, Karl's Shoes, in the 1960s, the Dangerzone, a notable punk club in the 80s, and finally the Arizona Center for the Media Arts (The Screening Room) in 1989.
