How Elizabeth Holmes sold Arizona on Theranos
Elizabeth Holmes, the subject of a hit documentary, was in Arizona in 2015 to convince lawmakers to pass a bill that would allow the state's residents to obtain blood tests without a doctor’s order. It would benefit Theranos, the company she started that she said performed a host of medical tests with a small amount of blood. In 2022, Holmes was found guilty of four charges of fraud.
