Bear captured on camera outside Bisbee home is one of several recent sightings
The footage captured in Bisbee early Friday morning follows a string of bear sightings in southern Arizona this month.
In the past two weeks, the Arizona Game and Fish Department (@azgfdTucson on X) has shared reports of sightings in Bisbee, Sierra Vista, Hereford and the Mt. Wrightson area of the Santa Rita mountains.
In addition to securing outdoor food and trash that may attract bears while they forage, officials advise anyone who encounters them to deter the animals by using loud noises and waving their arms. Sightings can be reported to wildlife officials at 623-236-7201.
