A Picture Rocks man arrested on suspicion of negligent homicide and child abuse in the death of his 9-year-old son told Pima County Sheriff's Department investigators that he left for two days after he could not find a pulse on the boy.
In a text to his wife as their daughter was being taken to the hospital, Christopher Scholtes wrote, "“Babe, our family. How could I do this. I killed our baby, this can’t be real,” a court document says.
Lampooned by Saturday Night Live, the nickname never caught on in five years of the University of Arizona pushing it.
