Several weather systems are expected to bring scattered showers, mountain snow and gusty winds to Tucson and southeast Arizona through the weekend, forecasters say.
High temperatures in metro Tucson are expected to stay in the 50s, with lows dipping into the 30s, the National Weather Service in Tucson says.
Valley rain was expected to stay under a quarter-inch, the weather service said on Thursday.
There is a chance — between 50 percent and 70 percent — of Tucson’s low temperatures dipping below freezing early Sunday and Monday, forecasters say.
Accumulating snow above 5,000 feet was expected late Thursday and late Friday night into Saturday.
