Firefighters are battling a fire in Southern Arizona near Parker Canyon Lake, authorities said.
The fire, which began at about 6 pm., has burned at least 50 acres of trees and shrubs near Arizona 83 at milepost seven, according to the Sonoita-Elgin Fire Department.
The blaze is not threatening any homes or buildings, but authorities have issued a pre-evacuation order to residents in Lyle Canyon.
Fire departments from Sonoita-Elgin, Fort Huachuca, Nogales, Rio Rico and the U.S. Forest Service have responded to the fire.
The Arizona Department of Public Safety has shut down Arizona 83 between milepost seven and Parker Canyon Lake.
