The fire north of Redington Pass and northeast of Tucson had grown to 4,852 acres and was 30 percent contained Tuesday.
The fire continues to be managed to benefit the landscape, said Salek Shafiqullah, Coronado National Forest fire information officer.
The fire was started by lightning July 11.
A fire burning on Telegraph Ridge in the Rincon Mountains east of Tucson was 20 acres in size and zero percent contained, Saguaro National Park officials said.
No structures were threatened.
